Les Muncaster

         Conductor Leslie N. Muncaster, Jr., joined the Kingdom of the Sun Concert Band as Conductor / Music Director in 1998.  As with many of the band members, he grew up with music. A third generation Salvation Army musician, Les began playing trumpet at the age of six, and continued his pursuit of music as a member of the U.S. Air Force Band for more than 27 years, touring with the band throughout the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom, as conductor, featured vocalist, and trumpet soloist. He has performed with artists Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, The Platters, Warren Covington & The Pied Pipers, John Gary, and Pat Paulson, among others.  Les' enthusiasm and musical expertise have been an inspiration to band members as well as our growing audiences.
